• Special Event Assistant
The museum regularly hosts community events, and we frequently need help with food service, bartending, furniture set-up and take-down, greeting customers, and taking tickets.
• Front Desk Greeter
If you like working with the public, this is a fun position. The volunteer greets visitors upon their arrival in the museum, provides a brief introduction to the museum; answers patron’s questions about the museum and our region; answers the telephone; and acts as a cashier for museum admissions and gift shop items. Two- or four-hour shifts available to fit your schedule.
• Collections Assistant
This position assists the Curator with managing the museum’s artifact collection. Duties include photographing items, entering item details into the collections database (Past Perfect software), and properly archiving and storing items. Shifts available to fit your schedule. Weekly commitment preferred.
• Children’s Programming Assistant
If you’re good with kids, we would love your help! This position would assist the instructor during our monthly STEAM Saturday classes and our occasional kids’ art workshops. The assistant will help the instructor keep order and assist the kids so that they get the most out of the class. STEAM Saturdays take place once a month from 10:30 – noon. See the Education section of website for dates and topics.
