SUPPORT  US

Your generosity and support enables us to preserve, educate, and culturally enrich the lives of visitors to the Washakie Museum. It is with your support that we can continue to display quality exhibitions, host professional performing arts events, educate children and adults, and preserve the history of Wyoming's Big Horn Basin. The Washakie Museum is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization and contributions are tax-deductible.
There are many ways you can support the Washakie Museum and Cultural Center and help to continue great programs and exhibits. We welcome your participation and encourage you to consider these options:

Program and Event Support
  • Education Programs - to ensure our ongoing ability to bring creativity, knowledge, and inspiration to children and adults.
  • Cultural Events - to offer a wide variety of cultural activities including performing arts events, festivals, lectures, field trips, and more.
  • Operations - to maintain and improve our facility to make it a safe place for our collections and a wonderful place for you and others to visit. See our Events or Education tabs to determine what you would like to be a part of.

Exhibition Support
  • The Museum presents several temporary exhibits each year, and we rely on the generosity of the community to help us make these exhibits possible. Gifts towards temporary exhibits are recognized in promotional materials associated with that exhibit and celebrated with a number of other great benefits including public recognition for you and/or your company, participation in special activities associated with the exhibit, and more. See our Exhibits tab to determine what you would like to be a part of.

Volunteer
  • Docent program: The program is currently under development but we are looking for willing volunteers to learn the information in our exhibits and lead tours for visitors. You can sign up now and we will keep you informed as the program progresses.
  • Visit our Volunteer page to learn more about volunteer opportunities at the museum.
  • Add your name to our volunteer list. Not sure exactly how you want to help out? Give us your name and information and we will call you when we need a little extra help.  Contact: Chloe Stine, [email protected]
