RED SAND PROJECT

JOIN US FOR A RED SAND POURING ACTIVITY
To raise awareness about the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People

Tuesday, August 1 | 9:00 AM

Today, over 50 million people worldwide are being trafficked or live in modern slavery.

Join representatives from the Red Sand Project and motorcyclists from the Medicine Wheel Ride for a symbolic interactive sand pouring activity at the museum on August 1st at 9:00 a.m.

Be aware. Be observant. Take action.
Pouring red sand into sidewalk cracks highlights things we often overlook, such as vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation. Vulnerabilities may include immigration status, housing status, economic disparities, race, sexual orientation, gender, foster care, and juvenile justice systems.
These grains of red sand add up to transform
sidewalk cracks and serve as a reminder that our small individual acts do add up to something!
1-888-373-7888 is the 24-hour multilingual
National Human Trafficking Hotline. Call to
report a tip, connect with local anti-trafficking
services or request general information.
