Noelle Weimann’s paintings evoke whimsy and playfulness that belies the formidable unpredictability of the Wyoming wildlife and landscapes she paints. Her use of color is breathtaking, confounding, arresting, and incredible. She earned a BA in fine art and art history from Southern CT State University but has spent the last 18 years painting what she sees. She is a self-described colorist which she attributes both to her own hypersensitivity to light and her preference for saturated, bold hues. She’s lived in Wyoming for the last 15 years, and in her current renaissance, she paints wildlife prolifically. She brings astonishing Wyoming vistas a somehow more evocative home on canvas, Masonite, doors, and furniture.
