Colin R. Ferriman is a registered professional archaeologist (RPA). He has been working as a consultant archaeologist for over 25 years, traveling the country from New Hampshire to Washington state. His home base is Sheridan, Wyoming where he lives with his wife Heidi, their son Bridger, and lots of pets. He directs Cultural Resources Analysts, Inc.’s Rocky Mountain Office and in his spare time is very active with Sheridan Area Search and Rescue and he enjoys traveling and seeing the world.

Dr. Ivy Merriot is an experiential researcher employing ancient skywatching methods. She studies megalithic stone circles from around the globe as well as the Medicine Wheels of western North America, including the Bighorn Medicine Wheel in Wyoming. Dr. Merriot’s current research includes astronomical rock art at Medicine Lodge Archaeological State Park in Wyoming.

Dr. Steven Howard is the Program Director for Archaeology and Anthropology at astern Wyoming College. He has extensive experience in public archaeology, as well as lab and field archaeology. He has worked at archaeological sites in Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Ohio, and New York and has taken students to the UK to work at a Roman villa site. Dr. Howard has been teaching archaeology and anthropology for nearly 20 years.

Bonnie Lawrence-Smith is a 5th generation Wyoming native. She left the state briefly to attend UCLA where she recieved her degree in Anthropolgy and Art History. She is the co-founder and director of the Bighorn Basin Art and Science Experience and the current Wyoming State Program Coordinator for Project Archaeology, an educational organization that emphasizes the importance of protecting the nation’s rich cultural heritage. Her research focuses on the fragile connections between golden eagles, Native peoples, and rock art.

Heather Jolley has been the superintendent of Medicine Lodge State
Archaeological Site in Hyattville, WY for the past four years. Heather began her state parks career and was introduced to petroglyphs and archaeology at Valley of Fire State Park (Nevada) in 2013. She has two dogs, both labs, and enjoys fly fishing locally and all over the world. |
